New year...new chances

Hi everyone...I sure forgot about this group (or wanted to at least). Anyways, if any one wants to start being accountable with me and posting their daily food intake and exercise report, then I wouldn't feel so lonely =) The last few days have been great. I am actually doing (and sticking to) the South Beach Diet and exercising everyday. Ok, I am on day 4, but this is big for me.

Exercise: 25 minutes swimming (would swim longer but all the Navy folks come in about 6:15am)

Food:
Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs with feta, spinach and onion. Cooked in a tiny bit of oil.
AM snack: string cheese stick
Lunch: leftover pork chop and broccoli and cauliflower
PM snack: sugar free jello
Dinner: Shrimp stir fry
Dessert: Mock Cheesecake

I am not counting calories. Just eating until satisfied and only getting seconds on veggies.

Breakfast: 300
Lunch: 450
Dinner: 940
Total: 1690

I haven't been to the gym yet. Work is insane right now so I am lucky to squeeze enough time out of my day to stop by bathroom. I have to go to a seminar offsite tomorrow so again, won't be able to make it to the gym.

On the plus side, I am doing plenty of walking and running up and down stairs all day at work, so at least I am getting some form of exercise.

I have lost a couple more pounds though. I can definitely tell. My pants are fitting better and my shirts are slightly more loose than they were a couple of weeks ago. :)

This weekend was a food orgy...my aunt and grandfather were in town so I am insisting that calories don't count. I will make up for it this week. For breakfast I had yogurt and a banana (about 250). Lunch was veggie chili and a veggie wrap from McAlister's. They don't have any nutritional info on line but I am estimating between 5 and 600 cal. since I was very light with the sauce. I did eat easter candy as a snack, more than I should of I am sure, but prolly about 600 calories after all was said and done :( And for dinner I had a piece of tuna steak and a gigantic salad with vinaigrette dressing. I use olive oil to cook so about 150 for the salad and 400 for the tuna. So 2000 for the day give or take...not too bad.

cals: um, no clue. less than 2000. had a scoop of ice cream from braum's and a bagel, but red beans/rice for dinner wasn't horrible for me

exercise: walked about 3 miles (to and from library) -- lugged ridiculously large stack of books up and down 3 flights of stairs several times, as i was so into research-mode that it didn't occur to me to snag a table to put them on.

plans for tomorrow:
cals: 300, 350, 600 (b,l,d) and maybe a single scoop of ice cream for snack...so about 1500
exercise: walking with ash (usually 2-3 miles) and have to walk to office for use of free copier (another 2 miles). wow! it's weird to think that 5 miles is just slightly more than average for me...

don't know if i've lost any weight as have been walking outside and doing situps at home instead of going to the gym. will hit the gym weds for weights (to balance out all the walking). have also drug mini-trampoline home from my parents, and am trying to jump 2-3 minutes on it when i get up from paper writing to eat/bathroom/stretch.

I will be making my way back to the gym starting on Monday.

I don't know how many calories I ate yesterday. I wasn't keeping track yesterday. I didn't eat too bad. I had a Ham & Cheese on Italian bread for lunch and then some type of tomatoey meaty cheesy dish with breded crust on it for dinner w/ one brreadstick.

I did a lot of juggling yesterday. My arms are all kinds of sore. Exercise-wise that was about it for yesterday.

Cals: I'm not sure of exact numbers, but know I was under 1600 the past 2 days. Have been eating at home, and not that much due to lack of hunger and my focus being on work that has to be done. Plan to eat out for breakfast this morning, but will get the fruit/yogurt/sweet rounds thingy and eat at home (aka decently) the rest of the day.

Exercise: Walking...lots of it. Last night, I did the Artwalk with some friends. Just from the car to our first stop was about half a mile and we wandered for almost 3 hours...and trust me it was fast walking (due to the fact that it was about 30 degrees). Today: if my walking partner shows up (it's early), then I'll walk just over 2 miles today. Plan to hit the gym for weights tomorrow or Monday.

For some reason lately I have been skipping breakfast completely.

Yesterday I was bad. I went to Zaxby's and had a chicken alad sandwich for lunch. I had fries with it, but didn't eat many of them. After a bad afternoon at work, I didn't want to cook so I stopped by McdDonalds and had the double cheeseburger combo.

I am sure that i was up near 2000 calories yesterday and probably exceeded it. I did do about 20 minutes of light cardio last night along with 2 hours of juggling (the new beanbags weigh a ton so my upper arms and knees hurt from both juggling and squatting to pick them up).

I am trying to get back in the correct mindset but lately work has been horrible which doesn't help me out any.

cals: 1600, give or take.

exercise: 25 minutes of walking with 3 bursts of jogging with ash today. it was 40 degrees and windy as hell, but we went out anyhow...i'm proud of us.

cals: if i don't eat too much after i get out of my night class at 9:30: about 1400.

exercise: mile to school, mile home, stairs and more stairs at school today and a grammar test that HAD to have exercised my brain enough to burn a few calories.
